DEPRO VERNIS 31
An odorless varnish, also known as a barrier varnish, designed to coat and block the release of gaseous contaminants from source materials: wood, mineral surfaces, and paint. Helps control the risk of cellar contamination from gaseous emissions: Pentachlorophenol (PCP), Pentachloroanisole (PCA), Trichloroanisole (TCA), Tetrachloroanisole, Tribromoanisole, Trichlorophenol, Tetrachlorophenol, Tribromophenol, Lindane.
Curative and preventive treatment.
Apply in 3 coats.
Note: If you want a matte finish, it is essential that the first 2 coats be applied with the “High Gloss” finish.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Protective varnish for wood and mineral surfaces in wine cellars
For indoor use. A water-based polyurethane protective and decorative varnish made from bio-based raw materials. This varnish is designed to coat surfaces and block the release of contaminating gases from the substrate. Suitable for wood and wood-based substrates, as well as raw or coated mineral surfaces.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE (See FT - Attached Documents): Protective varnish for wood and mineral substrates in wine cellars
Substrate preparation: Isolate the work area to prevent airborne contamination. Remove all contaminated materials resulting from substrate preparation. Substrates must be sound and dry; old surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned.
Stir well before use. Single-component varnish
New and old wood: The surface must be sound; sand down to sound wood if necessary, remove dust, and apply the varnish.
Old mineral surfaces: Apply DEPRO®AQUAFIX VITI water-based primer (1 coat). Hardens and waterproofs powdery, chalky, and absorbent surfaces. Seals and evens out uneven surfaces.
Application: Brush, roller. Apply the varnish in 3 coats, allowing 5 to 6 hours between coats. Ensure proper ventilation during application and drying. For a colored finish, DEPRO VERNIS 31 can be overpainted with the specific “Walls and Ceilings” paints from our range. (RAL colors)
Equipment cleaning: water.
Drying at 20 °C: Dust-free in 2 hours. Touch-dry in 3 to 4 hours. Fully cured in 8 hours.
Coverage: 8 to 10 m²/kg
